We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Duty Manager to join our vibrant team within the QCC Group and taking a lead role within our main venue at the Queensland Cricketers Club, a leading destination for unforgettable events, weddings, and corporate functions.
As Duty Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the daily operations of our events and functions. You'll be the point of contact for staff and guests during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and our high standards of service are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations during functions and events at our main venue along with occasional events at our other venues.
Lead and support front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent customer service
Liaise with kitchen, bar, and event coordination teams to ensure seamless delivery
Respond quickly and professionally to guest inquiries or issues
Maintain venue presentation, security, and compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist in staff training, scheduling, and team development
Assist lead management team with ordering, stock take and upkeep of par levels of all beverages
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar hospitality or event management role for 2+ yrs
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
RSA and First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain). RMLV is favourable but not a requirement.
Calm under pressure and great at multitasking
Interview required
Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
